Glacier Bay Cruise: Day 4
The fourth day we stopped in Dundas Bay. In the morning, we we kayaked near a grizzly walking along the shore. In the afternoon, we took a Zodiac to the beach and hiked to a steep muskeg. After dinner, we saw lots of humpback whales from our ship. We caught three breeching whales (and missed one because we were looking the other way).

Here's our boat anchored in Dundas Bay.

We watched this grizzly walk along the shore from our kayaks.

This is how we got back on to the ship from our kayaks -- the deckhands grabbed the front of the kayak and pulled, then we stepped out on to the floating dock.

We hiked to this muskeg (an area of poor drainage with lots of standing water and stunted trees).

We picked up this starfish during our walk on the rocky beach.

We stopped on our way out of Dundas Bay to watch this black bear.

These flukes belong to a humpback whale.

Two humpbacks coming up for air

Humpbacks get their name from the distinctive hump in their backs.

A bald eagle coming in for a landing on a tree.

We passed this two bald eagles on our way out of the bay.

This is a view from the front deck of our ship as the sun started to go down.
