We started our trip with a 14 hour non-stop flight from San Francisco to Sydney. We spent three days in the Sydney area, including a day trip to the nearby Blue Montains National Park. From Sydney, we flew to Adelaide and spent a few hours there before getting on a small plane to Kangaroo Island. We saw lots of wildlife as we drove around Kangaroo Island, especially the night we returned to our B&B after dark. Our next stop was Cairns, where we spent the day visiting the rainforest town of Kuranda. We got up early the next morning to start our liveaboard dive trip. We saw lots of coral, fish, and other creatures over three full days of diving. We ended our trip with a few days on Hinchinbrook Island, where we did a little snorkeling, a little hiking in the rainforest, and had a mile-long beach to ourselves.
