Costa Rica day 3: Arenal canopy tour and hot springs
On our third day, we drove to Arenal for the day. Kimberly and Evan visited
the hummingbird feeders before breakfast, and then we drove about two hours
to volcano area. The roads seemed much better than the last time we visited.
Evan spotted this millipede on the path outside our room
two hummingbirds can share one feeder opening!

We arrived just in time for the 10:30 canopy tour at
Hotel Los Lagos.
We got set up, then took
a bus up to the top. Evan went clipped to the guide, and was laughing and
smiling when we caught up to him on the 3rd platform. We zipped on 12 lines
through and over the trees. Evan loved it and wants to do it again.

We had lunch, then changed into our bathing suits for the hot springs. The
hotel had a big hot pool with a warm pool on the side, a cool pool, and three
slides. We left around 4:30, and it got very, very dark on the drive back
(no streetlights and thick fog). We stopped for takeout at a vegetarian
resort / animal rescue center and were glad to finally get back to our hotel.
