New this week
The acanthus leaves near the driveway are starting to turn yellow but the flowers spikes still look nice.
I haven't pruned this rose on the hill and I don't water, but it has lots of flowers right now.

Memorial Day weekend was partly cloudy and not very warm -- it didn't feel like summer at all. The tomatoes in the bed on the hill still seem pretty far behind the ones in the pot on the patio, but hopefully they'll catch up once it gets hotter.
The oleander on the side of the house is starting to bloom.
This rose is on the gravel side of the rose bed.
The usual spots
A few iris are still blooming on the hill.
It's hard to see, but in the back the Russian sage is about two feet tall now.
I tied the lavatera to the posts about two feet up, and I think I need to do it again higher up.
The red and white roses are still going strong.
There are several red penstemon in this bed that are just starting to bloom.
So far I've watered this bed once since it stopped raining. There's a soaker hose in it, but it's not on a timer.
The Jupier's beard is starting to fade a little. This area hasn't had water since it stopped raining.
