New this week
The big tree aloes are a little shriveled.
It's completely dry under the pepper trees.

It's still warm, but it is starting to seem like fall. Maybe it's just because it's starting to get dark so early!
The usual spots
One of the nicotianas is flowering; I think the rest were killed by the heat shortly after I planted them.
The amaryllis are starting to fade.
The red salvia are about twice as tall as they were last year.
The dahlias in this bed never did much.
No sign of grapes on this vine; it must be a root sucker.
The only color in this bed is coming from the small yellow flowers on the sedum.
The green spots in the dry grass are iceplant.
